Does the rear glass use a seal like the front windshield ? I took the rear glass out to fix the rust in the window channel. Some one had taken the stainless trim off and filled the channel with silicone,then replaced the trim while the silicone was still wet. It took me over four hours to cut the trim and glass out. Being very careful not to break the glass. What a mess.
Heres a picture of my car after two years of work. Trying to be ready for paint by fall 2013. But I'm in no rush.

That type of rear window doesn't use a gasket it glues in with glass sealer. The trim should lock in with clips. But the glass uses silicon adhesive to seal it. Jason

gregcon wrote ... You'll need to replace the metal clips that are screwed along the sides of the window opening....they hold the stainless trim in place.
Thanks Gregcon, Bought these yesterday. Not one of the old ones survived.
