Don't know if anyone has run across this, I didnt bother to search the forum.
Earlier this year I noticed that my door wouldnt stay open. On a day off I finally noticed that the spring in the door hing had snapped, just like it did in my Chrysler 300 a few years ago.
However, this time I knew what the solution was-- I went to lowe's/home depot and found a package with springs. It had two sets, and I dont remember what they were made for-- hobby horse or something-- but 2 of the 4 were nearly identical to my broken one.
Not exact, mind you, but I'll bet if you painted it body color, not even a show judge would notice.
How did I put it in? With a drum brake spring tool, of course.
