You just gotta love the C bodies! The body lines, all of the chrome, the roomy interior & not to mention the power. Even the small block V8s move these cars really well. I'm glad to hear your girlfriend became "a believer" & is now one of the C-body crowd. As I like to say "C-bodies-go fast in comfort"

Although I LOVE my '64 Tri-Power, 4 Speed GTO, I must admit, I enjoy driving my '65 300 'vert more. It's more comfortable and rides more like a modern car than the Goat. Nothing beats banging the gears in a 4 speed but there's a lot to be said for dropping the top, putting it in drive and cruising.

When I told my In-laws(whom are rodders) what kind of car I wanted, they said "why in the hell do you want a Chrysler???" 3.5 years later it's a hell of a car and they show it off to all there friends! The wife could care less, but whaddaya gonna do.

I still remember when I picked my girlfriend up for our first date in my 66 Newport. She looked mortified and asked me "we're not going to break down or anything are we?" I assured her all is well and as soon as I gassed it to get on the freeway she was a believer, and that was when it was all stock! Now she only complains that it's too loud and wakes up the neighborhood...when the exhaust sets off car alarms I wear that like a badge of honor! C-bodies are absolutely beautiful cars, especially the 4 doors....I am biased!!
